रिगवेद वैदिक साहित्य का प्राचीनतम और महत्वपूर्ण ग्रंथ है जो भारतीय साहित्य का हिस्सा है। रिगवेद का समय ब्राह्मण, आरण्यक, और उपनिषदों के साथ वैदिक साहित्य के चार युगों में पहले युग, या कलि युग (Krita Yuga) के अंत के समय के रूप में माना जाता है। इसलिए, रिगवेद का युग क्रित युग में माना जाता है, जिसे कई लोग सत्य युग भी कहते हैं।

Rig Veda is the oldest and important text of Vedic literature which is a part of Indian literature. The time of the Rigveda is considered to be the time of the end of the Kali Yuga, or Kali Yuga, the first of the four eras of Vedic literature along with the Brahmanas, Aranyakas, and Upanishads. Therefore, the era of Rig Veda is considered to be in Krita Yuga, which many people also call Satya Yuga.

This period dates from approximately 1500 BC to 1200 BC, but it is difficult to determine with accuracy, as there are no definite dates. The Rigveda consists mainly of mantras of sages, and contains a collection of hymns and mantras to various deities in connection with yagyas and religious conduct.
